This is a tool for copying out multiple copies of the same Google Document to an entire class group. 

 

This is a very powerful tool for issuing class notes or worksheets, which results in each student having their own copy of a document, that they can edit, and which is accessible by the teacher. 

The Empowered Media Users (EMU) initiative hopes to cultivate a positive culture around digital media use. 

 

This incorporates a new EMU agreement which shifts  the language away from prohibitive language to focusing on helping the student's develop positive, productive behaviours online, and the Skill Tree, which modularises and incentivises student's to develop various skills around digital technology.

We use the Google Suite for everything from basic staff communication, to collaborating with students, and facilitating collaboration between students, managing student events (such as exams) and helping students present and display their work.

 

While we can be proud of the progress we've made in using this software, it is always a delight seeing staff find new and innovative ways to use the Google Suite.  

The Google Suit is highly versatile and can be used to support a variety of teaching and learning goals.

Student Digital Backpack

This is a collection of Google Docs, kept in one Google Folder, designed to orientate students, and provide them with a 'Go To' place when they get stuck.

 

It includes a google doc for

 - Logging/ Reflecting/ Homeeork

 - Accessing departmental digital resources

 - Instructions for using Google Google Docs
